Galaxy Z Flip 6 Might Take Inspiration for its Design from the S24

One of the biggest design changes to the Galaxy Z Flip series occurred last year with the release of the Galaxy Z Flip 5 model, which featured a 3.4-inch screen in place of the relatively small 1.9-inch panel.

Samsung is getting ready to reveal the Galaxy Z Flip 5’s successor, but based on all the leaks, it doesn’t look like a radical departure from the original.

It is more likely that the next Galaxy Z Flip 6 will improve upon the current recipe rather than introducing a revolutionary new design. It may take some design cues from the more recent Galaxy S24, but it won’t completely redefine what the Z Flip series stands for.

A third-party case manufacturer’s new renders (via @rquandt) show off a couple of these subtle design tweaks that the Galaxy Z Flip 6 may have.

These case images, which might or might not accurately depict the final design of the Galaxy Z Flip 6, suggest that the forthcoming model will feature an even flatter frame than the current Z Flip 5. This year, the Galaxy S24 underwent a similar procedure that was undoubtedly influenced by the Z Flip 5.

The speaker grille is another design feature that the Galaxy Z Flip 6 may take cues from the Galaxy S24 range. This element may now have a single, large cutout in place of several, smaller ones.

Lastly, these images imply that the gap between the two cameras may be smaller or that the circular camera cutouts may have a slightly bigger radius for the Galaxy Z Flip 6.

Again, though, these finer aspects may not be totally true because the images seem to be from a third-party case manufacturer.

Enhanced Camera and a Potent Snapdragon Processor

Regarding specifications, earlier speculations suggest that the Galaxy Z Flip 6 will sport an improved 50MP primary camera, which could account for the larger cutouts.

The phone and the Galaxy S24 series will both use the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip. And only—regardless of location—the Snapdragon chip. According to a recent source, Samsung is not yet prepared to split the foldable phone market between Exynos and Snapdragon.

Samsung is expected to reveal the next-generation Galaxy Z Flip 6 at Unpacked in early July. The event is anticipated to be hosted by the tech giant in Paris, which will host the Olympic Games in 2024. It makes sense considering Samsung’s status as an Official Olympic Partner.
