Summer Matchup Between Man United, Liverpool, and Arsenal in the United States

This summer, Manchester United, Liverpool, and Arsenal—the fierce rivals of the Premier League—will square off in a number of games in the United States, the clubs said on Friday.

At the 70,000-seat SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, home of the NFL’s Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers, United will play Arsenal on July 27 to kick off the preseason tour.

Then, on July 31, Liverpool and Arsenal will play at Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field, which can hold 69,328 spectators. This stadium is also used to host games for the 2026 World Cup, which the United States, Canada, and Mexico will jointly host.

The biggest club soccer match to ever take place at Williams-Brice Stadium, which holds 77,559 spectators, will take place on August 3rd at the University of South Carolina in Columbia between Liverpool and United, the two most successful clubs in England.

Jurgen Klopp, the manager of Liverpool, has stated that he would stand down at the conclusion of the season, thus the Premier League leaders will have a new manager by the time they travel to the United States. Liverpool’s trip to the United States will be their first since 2019.

Ever since their sold-out encounter at New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium in July of last year, Arsenal and Man United will play in the United States for the second consecutive summer.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta stated, “It’s great to be visiting the US again this summer,” as part of the club’s statement. We’ll be well-prepared for the upcoming season with our matchups versus Manchester United and Liverpool.

“Our tour last year was a real success and it’s always an amazing experience to play in front of our passionate supporters in the US. We’re looking forward to returning and seeing everyone again.”

In front of 235,168 spectators, United played four preseason games in the United States last year.
