Pennsylvania authorities discourse influenza season, significance of having influenza shot

Pennsylvania authorities held a news gathering at UPMC West Shore in Mechanicsburg, empowering individuals to get influenza immunization.

Acting Physician General Dr. Denise Johnson and Deputy Secretary for Health and Preparedness and Community Protection Ray Barishansky examined influenza season and the significance of having a chance. Johnson and Barishansky both accepted their immunizations during the news gathering.

Dr. John Goldman, with UPMC, said there is worry about a potential “twindemic” including seasonal influenza and COVID-19.

Less individuals got seasonal influenza last year due to cover wearing and social separating. Goldman said more individuals might be powerless against seasonal influenza this year since they don’t have the antibodies.
