Alfre Woodard boards ‘The Porter’ CBC/BET+ railway laborer series

Emmy winner and Oscar nominee one Alfre Woodard is set for a recurring role in BET+/CBC’s The Porter, an original drama series about a group of 1920s railway laborers who join to form the world’s first Black union. Woodard likewise will serve as an executive producer on the series, from Inferno Pictures and Sienna Films, a Sphere Media organization. Shooting is in progress in Winnipeg, Canada.
