Sticky Rice grows as a uniquely themed dine-in restaurant with contemporary décor and authentic Thai food

The team at Sticky Rice ensures to serve diners the best Thai food recipes with a unique vibe that stays with them.

There are two sets of people in the world. One set includes the dreamers, and the other has people who believe in taking necessary actions to fulfill their dreams and aspirations in life. We couldn’t help but notice how Mo Abedin belonged to the latter category, as a passionate and dynamic business owner in the F&B industry of the UAE, who ensured to bring forward the visions of his late mother to turn them into reality in the form of Sticky Rice, an unparalleled Thai restaurant in the UAE.

Over the years, Sticky Rice has made quite a name in Dubai’s Jumeirah Village Circle, and now it has been doing exactly that in Yas Mall, Abu Dhabi. With its recent opening in Abu Dhabi, Thai food lovers have gone crazy to drive down to the location and enjoy some of the most authentic Thai feasts and desserts that echo the love of the staff for creating delicious Thai dishes and serving people authentic recipes that they will cherish for a long time.

Sticky Rice has a loyal clientele that often drives down to taste some of the most delectable Thai delicacies, all of which are authentic Thai recipes by the founder’s mother. Out of tons of diners that often are seen relishing these recipes, five diners have dined at their restaurant over 100 times each, which proves how far Sticky Rice has reached in its journey.

However, the team behind Sticky Rice, including Maryam Abedin (sister) and Nina Fahmi (wife), under the leadership of Mo Abedin and the visions of his late “Mama” Amena Rakkuson, has also made sure to not just win the hearts of customers with great food but also by providing them with a great overall vibe. Hence, they have focused a lot on creating a relaxed décor with a unique Thai vibe to it, including a color palette of grey, black and yellow. The floor tiles are in stark grey, the counterparts are in black, and the interiors are in yellow with exposed ceiling ducks.

The menu at the restaurant with fresh Thai ingredients flown into the country includes everything from salads, soups, and stir fry to rice, curries, noodles, and so much more, with dishes like Mango and Sticky Rice with Coconut Soft Serve Ice Cream dishes, Green Curry, Sticky Tamarind Wings and Seafood Tom Yum to name a few.

It is imperative to mention here the duck mascot of the brand, “Kew”, which has remained a signature character saying a lot about the brand, adding a lot of playfulness as well to the whole vibe of the restaurant. Not just that, rubber ducks are scattered across the restaurant (@stickyriceae), stuffed into glass casings on a massive feature wall.
